We love wool….. and fashion at Louth

FASHIONS ON THE FIELD

Best Dressed Lady, Local Lady of the Day, Best Dressed Gentleman

OVER $4000 in CASH AND PRIZES IN 2024

For the FASHIONS ON THE FIELD events, Louth Races positions themselves uniquely in the world of racing fashion by making it an entry requirement to have an element of wool in a contestants outfit. It was the desire of the Club to increase the importance of the event in a manner that reflected on the history of the district whilst promoting the local wool growers. As the meeting is in winter, it is a perfect partnership with the opportunity to promote wool and fashion and to showcase the versatility of the fibre. All of our generous FASHIONS ON THE FIELD sponsors are involved in the Australian wool industry in some way or another.

Those who meet the criteria below are asked to self nominate and present at the times designated in the Race Book which will be available on the day (usually immediately after Race 4 for the Gentleman and immediately after Race 5 for the ladies). The event takes place in the saddling enclosure between races, so we cannot give a definite time.

As the meeting is in winter, no summer outfits, shoes or hats will be permitted entry. Please be aware of this so there is no disappointment on the day
